Safety or driver assistance features are no substitute for the driver’s responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. The driver should remain attentive to traffic, surroundings and road conditions at all times. Visibility, weather and road conditions may affect feature performance. Read the vehicle’s owner’s manual for more important feature limitations and information.
Front end safety
If the system detects that a front-end collision situation is imminent while following a detected vehicle, the system alerts the driver to a potential crash. It also alerts the driver if the driver is following a detected vehicle much too closely.
If the system detects that a pedestrian is directly ahead and a collision is imminent, and the driver has not already applied the brakes, the system alerts the driver and, if necessary, automatically applies the brakes to help reduce the collision’s severity or avoid the collision.
If the vehicle is traveling at a low speed and the system detects that a front-end collision situation is imminent while following a detected vehicle and the driver has not already applied the brakes, the system automatically applies brakes to help reduce the collision’s severity. The system may even help avoid the collision at very low speeds.
Provides gentle steering wheel turns (and Lane Departure Warning alerts if necessary) to help drivers avoid crashes due to unintentionally drifting out of their lane when they are not actively steering and their turn signal is not activated.

Back end safety
When in reverse, provides alerts to help driver avoid crashing into approaching detected left- or right-cross traffic (e.g. out of a crowded parking space or driveway with side obstructions).
Provides side-mirror alerts to help the driver avoid crashing into a moving vehicle detected in their side blind spot (or zone) or a vehicle that is rapidly approaching their side blind spot during a lane-change maneuver.
When driving in Reverse below 5 mph (8 km/h), provides distance-to-object alerts to help the driver park and avoid crashing into nearby detected objects directly behind the vehicle during low-speed maneuvering.
Convenience with safety in mind
ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
This feature enhances regular Cruise Control to allow the vehicle to automatically follow a detected vehicle ahead at the driver-selected following gap while the driver steers, reducing the need for the driver to frequently brake and accelerate.
AUTOMATIC PARK ASSIST
Helps the driver parallel and perpendicular park by automatically steering the vehicle into a detected parking space while driver follows text commands, selects gear, and does all braking and acceleration.
FOLLOWING DISTANCE INDICATOR
Provides driver with the following (or headway) time to a detected vehicle that the driver is following to let the driver know if he or she is following the vehicle too closely or violating vehicle following-distance laws.
ISOFIX is a rigid fixing system designed to automatically lock your child’s car seat without the need to use an adult safety belt. Instead, your child’s car seat will be attached securely and directly to the frame of your car. The ISOFIX is a system that is much safer for your child.
SAFETY ALERT SEAT
The GM-patented Safety Alert Seat provides the driver the option of getting haptic seat-bottom vibration pulses instead of audible crash avoidance alerts.
Always in control
ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC)
Electronic Stability Control applies the brakes and limit engine power when necessary, preventing your vehicle from going out of control.
TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM (TCS)
Traction Control System helps you quickly regain control of your vehicle when traction is lost due to poor road conditions. It is particularly useful when driving on slippery roads that are wet or on loose gravel.
ELECTRONIC BRAKE FORCE DISTRIBUTION (EBD)
Electronic Brake Force Distribution applies the right amount of braking to each wheel to maintain vehicle control while braking.
TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM
Tire Pressure Monitoring system informs you of real-time tire pressure so that you can ensure that all four tires are always inflated to the proper pressure for optimum safety and performance.
Head-Up Display projects data near your line of sight on the windshield helps you stay informed while you focus on the road ahead.
